Projects & Case Studies

In this section, I present selected projects and case studies from my professional work across different roles and organizations.

Each project shows the type of problems I worked on, the responsibilities I took, and the results that were achieved in real conditions. Together, they give a clear picture of my experience and how I can support similar initiatives through consulting and practical tools.

CTO and Head of Engineering at Artkai

CTO and Head of Engineering at Artkai, an AI-native software development company, since June 2026. Leading engineering and delivery across client projects and teams, projects in banking and FinTech, crypto trading and healthcare, pre-sales with client visits, the company’s strategy sessions and an AI SDLC for faster, cheaper and better delivery. Interim CTO for a Forex and Crypto Trading Company in Dubai

Served as Interim CTO on site at the Dubai headquarters of a global financial trading group: helped launch a new crypto trading platform on a white-label backend while the next Forex app release was in progress, assessed the teams, the infrastructure, DeFi infrastructure and security against compliance requirements, set a one-year roadmap and led the hiring of the permanent CTO.

DORA Compliance: Benchmarking Data Center Resilience for a Tier-1 Spanish Bank

Before the DORA deadline made architectural decisions irreversible, I assessed a Tier-1 Spanish bank’s disaster recovery architecture and benchmarked it against peer European banks on 10+ dimensions. Critical finding: proximity risk in co-located data center sites, invisible in normal operations and visible only under DORA stress-test modelling.

Modernising a Legacy Pharma CRM for US Market Entry

A mature EU pharma CRM heading for US market entry faced three compliance frameworks it wasn’t designed for (SOC 2, HIPAA, GxP), a 660-table PHP monolith, and a fixed market deadline. I defined the target architecture, led the Platform team directly, and delivered a working Go microservices PoC measuring over 4× throughput improvement, in under three months.

Founder and CEO of Nubes Consulting Digital

Founded Nubes Consulting Digital in 2025 and lead it as Founder and CEO. Migrating a French Enterprise From a Cloud Nobody Uses: Orange Cloud to AWS in 6 Months

After completing the 3-data-center AWS migration, the same programme team took on something harder: migrating SeLoger’s entire enterprise infrastructure from Orange Cloud, a proprietary French telecom-operator platform with no migration community, no standard tooling, and zero prior team experience. Delivered in six months with zero production incidents.

Leading a 3-Data-Center AWS Migration Without Information About Infrastructure

One of the world’s largest digital real estate tech companies needed to exit three European data centers, but years of staff turnover had erased most knowledge of what was running in them. I joined from day one as both migration team lead and Architecture Board member, rebuilt the infrastructure map from scratch, and delivered the full migration with zero production outages.

Emergency Cloud Migration of a Core Banking Platform During the Outbreak of War in Ukraine

I joined Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine as Technical Lead two days before the full-scale invasion began. The planned modernisation roadmap became irrelevant within 72 hours. Under active missile alerts, with a legal barrier waived by emergency central bank order, I led the cloud migration of the bank’s core banking infrastructure without a single business outage. Referenced globally by McKinsey, AWS, and Euromoney.

Can You Move a Factory’s Data Center to the Cloud? An Independent PoC Evaluation

Jabil, a Fortune 500 electronics manufacturer with 100+ factories globally, built a cloud migration PoC and needed an independent view before committing to global rollout. As infrastructure lead of a three-person expert team, I visited a production facility, analysed the Azure + AWS dual-cloud PoC against real factory OT load profiles, and delivered the decision-support findings the business needed.

Replacing Akamai With AWS to Save $100k a Year, and Leading a 4-Continent SRE Team

Replacing Akamai with AWS native services saved $100,000 per year for the US region alone and improved site access speed by 30%, by solving the specific problem that had kept the migration theoretical: 100,000+ redirect rules, handled via a custom Lambda@Edge function. Deployed across all Amway locations globally. I also led the cross-continental SRE team across USA, Brazil, EU, and India.

From COBOL Mainframe to Cloud-Native Microservices: Building the Unified DevOps Platform for SIXT Leasing SE

At SIXT Leasing SE, I built the unified cloud and DevOps platform that made decoupling a COBOL mainframe monolith into microservices viable: a single Kubernetes cluster (Kops, then AWS EKS) for all projects, one CI/CD platform for all teams, and a security architecture validated through internal penetration testing. Leading 5 DevOps engineers while advising Executive management on strategic IT direction.

External IT audit of Uplata (uplata.ua), a Ukrainian FinTech payment project, on site in October and November 2015: source code quality, IT infrastructure security on the way to PCI DSS certification, and the suitability of internal business processes and staff qualifications.

Building a Privacy Startup From Zero to Exit, and Leading Its Turnaround When It Failed

Built Privatoria from a blank page to 20,000+ users and 120× revenue growth in its first 15 months. Then watched investors take over and the team leave, saw the platform decline, and was invited back to lead the turnaround. The company was stabilised and successfully sold. Two complete startup arcs in one engagement: founder-led growth, crisis recovery, and a successful exit.

Co-Founding Ukraine’s e-Commerce Industry Association

Co-founded Ukraine’s first national e-commerce industry association in June 2008, seven years before the country had a legal framework for electronic commerce. As a Management Board member, I represented the sector at the founding press conference at UNIAN (one of Ukraine’s largest news agencies, name in their permanent photo archive) and gave interviews on national business television.

From Developer to CEO of a Ukrainian Web Studio

Joined web-studio as a developer, grew to CTO and then to CEO and co-owner, transforming it into premium web studio. Clients included the entire Inter Media Group TV holding (99.7% of Ukraine’s TV coverage). The proprietary e-commerce CRM we built held 60%+ market share across Ukraine and CIS. At peak, our infrastructure processed 90 million specialised requests per day for over 100,000 websites.

Founding Topping, a Ukrainian Web Statistics Startup

Founded Topping (topping.com.ua), a web counter and website ranking platform, and ran it from 2004 to 2011, while the Ukrainian internet was still young. It reached #1 in Ukraine by registered websites (80,000+), processed 21 million daily requests and competed directly with BigMir. Launched 5 spinoff services, saw the software adopted by American professionals for a US regional statistics system, and made two successful investor exits in 2009 and 2011.
